Description:
The project is located on the site of the existing Macclesfield College. The general scope of work involves the following phased construction:

Refurbishment of existing premises together with a new extension to form a new ECAT facility

In line with their continued expansion into the UK Education Sector, EDCM have recently been appointed as Building Services Engineers for the € 50 million Macclesfield Learning Zone Project. Of major importance to the town and local community, the Project will feature new college buildings, a sports complex and special needs learning areas together with a new European Centre for Aeronautical Training (ECAT). EDCM's design and modeling expertise in the fields of heavyweight construction allied to passive ventilation technology will ensure that the Project improves upon the current and predicted UK energy targets”.
High element of environmental issues and sustainability including natural ventilation, heavyweight structure and grey water recycling.
