Description:

The Project is located in Nottingham on a heavily contaminated site historically used for contaminated and highy toxic hosptal waste. The overall Project will necessitate development costs in the order of 50 million euros and will comprise:

  • Land remediation
  • A new European Training and Development Centre for Toyota
  • High Tech Research and Development Offices and Laboratories

The overall project and master planning exercise will focus upon “Sustainable Development” and feature:

  • Off-site energy from traceable sustainable sources
  • On-site combined heat and power plant, wood chip fueled boilers and small scale wind turbines
  • Facilties for addition of photovoltaic and full cell based energy sources intially as a research and developemnt feature but with the facilties to introduce later as a viable commercial option
  • Heavyweight, naturally ventilated low energy building design
  • Sustainable urban drainage and grey water recovery
