Participation in energy efficiency conference and telecommunications Forum

LMSA has been involved in public sessions, promoted by the Portuguese Engineers Association and EDP (Energias de Portugal), dedicated to Energy Certification in buildings and the new regulations in Portugal related to Energy Efficiency in Buildings. Luís Malheiro (Chairman of the LMSA Board) and Carlos Soares participated in the conference as chairman and speaker, respectively. The last conference took place in March, on the Island of Madeira.

LMSA was also invited to participate in a Forum concerning the new Portuguese regulation on building telecommunications (ITED). The ITED represents a large technological evolution in comparison to the former regulations, but has being widely debated for the impact on the IT infrastructures, as well as its adequacy to some type of buildings.

The invited members for the debate of the Forum, promoted by ACIST (Telecommunication Manager Association) were representing each of the main intervenient of the sector: the Government (legislator), the Engineer Association, the Architect Association, the Construction Association, the Municipalities and the Consultant Companies. LMSA represented this last group, sending its IT specialist, Carlos Jesus.
