02/11/2011 EDCM and JSE join FIRST Q NETWORK
  EDCM Group (UK) and JS Engineering (Luxembourg) have joined First Q Network as the UK and Luxembourg’s representative of this collaborative organisation of Consulting Engineers that has the broad objective of gaining local expertise and facilitating delivery of projects across Europe. 17/10/2009 EDCM design wins Green award
  The Toronto Square office redevelopment in Leeds, for which First Q Network´s UK member EDCM designed the M+E services, has won a national ‘green’ award in the UK in the Office Development of the Year category of the Estates Gazette Green Awards.

The 90,000 sq ft Grade A office development, completed in August 2009, had already obtained the BREEAM "Excellent" rating, through a certification process also conducted by EDCM.
01/09/2009 Genoa requalification
  Italy´s member Manens Itertecnica are carrying out the MEP design on ‘Porte Parodi’ the redevelopment of the old Genoa sea port into commercial, restaurant and leisure activities with sustainable credentials.
30/07/2009 Spanish Green Bulding Council membership
  JG Ingenieros, the Spanish member of First Q Network, has been certified by the Spanish Green Building Council as a member company, reinforcing its standing in the market as a leader in the effective pursuit of sustainable solutions for the built environment.
Its subsidiary Test, has also become a member of the Spanish Association of Energy Efficient Companies (A3E).
01/07/2009 BREEAM
  ECDM, UK´s First Q Network member, completed the MEP services (incl. BREEAM Assessment) on Canon and Priory House, a 1960’s office refurbishment. The building achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating.
15/06/2009 LEED appointment in Italy
  Manens Intertecnica has been appointed LEED Consultants on ‘Garibaldi Republica’ a very large business centre in Milan valued at €50m. This commission is in addition to the works management that was also contracted.
01/06/2009 Ethos in the Middle East
  Ethos Engineering, Ireland´s First Q Network member, has formed an alliance with an Irish Civil/Structural company and another Irish MEP Company for work in the Middle East. This company is called TPE and has entered into an agreement with a Saudi based engineering company, DAR Engineering. Together, they presented joint bids for a number of large scale projects in Riyadh and throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Ethos also sub-consulted work to FocusGroup.NLA Design Consultants for work in Romania and plans to further develop this relationship for 4-5 additional projects which are currently in the pipeline. Ethos is already using this model with its First Q Network partners, namely the UK and Greece.
02/05/2009 Abu Dhabi - Central Market on Site
  Central Market is a major urban regeneration scheme and is demographically described as "down town" Abu Dhabi. The major scheme is now well progressed on site. Central Market is a development by Aldar Properties and anchored by Warner Bros International Theatres eight screen cinema. First Q Network´s UK member EDCM are appointed to work alongside Foster Partners and other consultants for the cinema complex which is due for completion early 2011.

This is the first of four cinemas that EDCM are working on at present in Abu Dhabi, which includes Al Ruwais, Noor Al Ain and Yas Island. The latter location which will stage the Formula One Grand Prix at the end of 2009. All cinemas are planned for opening during 2011.
15/04/2009 Olympic House on Site
  The conversion of the Listed building Olympic House in Glasgow is well underway on site. The conversion into 45 apartments, in which First Q Network´s UK member EDCM was involved in the M+E design includes a new penthouse level at 7th floor, as well as retention of the existing retail untis at Ground.
17/03/2009 Braford Royal Infirmary, Lecture Theatre Complete
  With mechanical and electrical services input from First Q Network´s UK member EDCM, Bradford Royal Infirmary Hospital´s new state of the art Lecture Theatre has been handed over. The new lecture Theatre is a Landmark flagship building, and was formally opened by the Lord Mayor of Bradford along with Sir Robert Winston.
